본 발명은 고차 노이즈 쉐이핑이 가능한 시간 디지털 변환기 및 그를 이용한 시간 디지털 변환 방법에 관한 것으로, 시간 디지털 변환기는 개폐 환형 발진기(GRO)를 이용하여 두 입력 신호 간 시간차에 대응하는 디지털 신호를 출력하는 시간 디지털 변환부; 및 시간 디지털 변환부에서 발생한 양자화 잡음에 대해 N차 델타-시그마 특성을 갖도록 처리하여 시간 디지털 변환기의 입력으로 제공하는 시간 에러 궤환 필터를 포함한다.
