본 발명은 코어캐쳐를 구비한 원자로용기 내외 노심용융물 냉각 시스템이 개시된다. 노심을 내부에 구비하는 원자로용기, 원자로용기의 파손으로 누출되는 노심용융물을 냉각하는 코어캐쳐, 원자로용기 및 코어캐쳐를 포함하는 원자로공동, 원자로공동에 냉각수를 공급하는 원자로 건물내 재장전수탱크(In-Containment Refueling Water Storage Tank, IRWST) 및 원자로공동의 기 설정된 위치까지 공급된 냉각수이 채워지면 냉각수 공급을 차단하는 제어부를 포함한다.
