매끈한 표면에 필기 시 가상현실적 미끄럼 저항감과 질감을 만드는 펜-타입 입력 장치가 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 펜-타입 입력 장치는, 필기면과 접촉하는 촉침, 촉침의 움직임을 감지하는 센서부, 촉침을 진동시키는 가진기 및 센서부를 통해 감지된 촉침의 움직임을 기초로 가진기에 의한 촉침의 진동을 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다. 이에 의해, 강화 유리나 플라스틱과 같이 매끄러운 표면에 의한 마찰에 대하여 종이-연필 계의 필기감을 구현할 수 있는 인위적 저항감 및 필기감을 생성할 수 있다.
