본 발명은 유변유체를 이용한 패시브형 햅틱 구동장치, 이를 갖는 햅틱 장치 및 이를 이용한 햅틱 제공방법에 관한 것이다. 이를 위해, 내부에 유변유체가 수용되는 케이스(210); 유변유체내에 내재되고, 케이스(210) 외부로 탄성력을 작용하는 탄성수단; 및 유변유체에 전기장 또는 자기장을 인가하기 위한 인가수단;을 포함하여 인가수단에 의해 유변유체의 점성이 가변되고, 가변된 점성에 의해 탄성수단의 탄성계수가 가변된다.
