본 발명은 파낙사디올류 진세노사이드 화합물의 일종인 PPD(protopanaxadiol) 또는 컴파운드-K를 유효성분으로 포함하는 교모세포종 전이 억제용 약학 조성물 및 교모세포종 전이 억제용 식품 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에서 제공하는 진세노사이드 C-K 또는 PPD는 교모세포종 세포의 부착을 억제하여 아노이키스를 유발시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 교모세포종 세포에 대하여 세포독성을 나타내므로, 교모세포종의 치료와 전이억제를 동시에 수행함으로써 교모세포종 환자를 효과적으로 치료하는데 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
