dc.description.abstractRecently, the FMCW RADAR has been obtaining popularity because of low cost of manufacture, relatively free from failure, and inexpensive to maintain. In various areas, it is necessary to broaden the bandwidth of the radar system to take the advantages. This paper suggests a considerable way to sweep the frequency of the FMCW radar system in order to overcome several limitations of a narrowband FMCW radar system. The new architecture of the proposed system is simulated in delay-line environment to show the reasons why the way can improve the narrowband FMCW radar system. The proposed FMCW radar system measures the property of the moving targets on the campus ground of the KAIST. The improved range resolution graph and results are provided to demonstrate the significant cavity compared to the narrowband FMCW radar system. This structure of the proposed broadband FMCW radar system could be easily applied in various areas.-
