dc.description.abstract | we propose a novel eye-diagrm estimation method with decision feedback equalizer (DFE) for the 8B/10B encoding, and transition minimized differential signaling (TMDS) encoindg scheme. The previous eye-diagram estimation methods only focus on the channel by using its partial information. However, in practical, several channel improving schemes have been used. For example, the 8B/10B encoding or TMDS encoding scheme has been implemented in electrical interfaces. Both of them transmit the 10-bit sequences, instead of the 8-bit sequences, by the its predefnied rule. Also, as the data is transmitted at high-speed, the bandwidth of the channel is limited. Thus, the PAM-4 signaling has been considered for the next-generation signaling method. Instead of 2 logic states, It transmtis two bits for four logic states. Thus, it only requires the half-bandwidth than that of the NRZ signaling. As well as, the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) has been also used in the high-speed channel. Because single bit affects to other bits, the DFE samples the current bit by considering the previous bits. Therefore, this research propose the eye-diagram estimation method considering the aforementioned channel improving schemes affecting the eye-diagram. | - |
