Axion is a hypothetical elementary particle that was postulated to solve the strong CP problem by Peccei and Quinn. Furthermore, the axion is an excellent candidate for the cold dark matter. In 1983, P. Sikivie proposed a scheme to detect axions using a resonant cavity with a high magnetic field. In order to detect the axion with this scheme we need a high quality cavity . In this thesis, we will evaluate the frequency tunability, quality factor, and geometrical factor of a cavity by using the COMSOL multiphysics simulator pakage .
