dc.description.abstractThe effect of the structure in a simple contact-mode triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) was analyzed in this paper. Using the results of the finite-element method, a relationship between the transferred charges on the bottom and one side of the rectangular rod is derived. As the side of the top rectangular surface of the rod is increased, the amount of the transferred surface charge also increases. The numerical results presented here can serve as a rational guide for the practical design of the structure in TENG-based applications.-
