dc.description.abstractIsoplatensimycin, a novel analog of platensimycin, was synthesized via intramolecular dipolar cycloaddition of a carbonyl ylide. Isoplatensimycin showed little activities against strains of Staphylococcus aureus, but exhibited activities against some vancomycin-resistant enteroccoci. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd.
