This paper introduces a numerical analysis method for reinforced-concrete (RC) structures exposed to high temperature and after cooled down to air temperature. The proposed analysis method for RC structures exposed to high temperature consists of two procedures. The first step is to decide the temperature distribution across the section through the heat transfer analysis by using the time-temperature curve subject to fire. After determination of the temperature distribution, the nonlinear analysis is followed. By considering material and geometrical nonlinearity with the temperature distribution, nonlinear analysis predicts the behavior of RC structures subject to the fire and after cooling down for the exposed time. The proposed method is validated by the comparison with the experimental results. Finally, a prediction model to describe the residual fire-resistance of RC structures subject to fire and after-cooling is described.
