A Study on energy crisis and energy policy development

Abstract

Energy efficiency improvement and high consumption determinants have been affecting countries’ economies development status for some decades. Energy growth is directly linked to well-being and prosperity across the globe. Meeting the growing demand for energy in a safe and environmentally responsible manner is a major challenge. Countries, economies and societies in chasing benefits from energy growth demand, and on the base of energy related obsessions to be prevailed economically and politically, start to build energy might by being heavily dependent on it. Consequently, energy import/export countries somehow start losing their lever in supply/demand balances, sharpening self-interests in oil consumption, and pricing policies which of course lead to crisis and disturbances of economies. Out of all the problems countries face as an economy, energy seems to present the greatest challenge. However, this does not mean that other issues are not important or are somehow less challenging in reality; energy usage and consumption become improperly miss - usable by economies. The resulting energy crisis and causes fostered countries’ policy-makers to develop or to change energy policy as a response to the energy crisis. Thus, energy-dependable economies need to adopt an energy policy to ensure all energy sources; infrastructure and assets should follow the innovative and productive direction for sustainable development. Such a policy will need to be based on the energy realities of the dynamically developing world. As these realities are constantly changing, what are being presented are our views on energy policy based upon the current energy circumstances of the world. As a result of the demand in balancing and promoting clean and sustainable energy development, countries are challenged to refer to energy policy development.
