dc.description.abstractRecently, the mobile traffic has been rapidly increased due to the popularization ofsmart phones and tablet PCs which require high data rate for multimedia communication,and device-to-device (D2D) communication is regarded as one possible solution. In thisthesis, we propose two link association algorithms for user-friendly D2D communications.First scheme uses GPS information and a magnetometer, while second scheme adapted asuper-resolution algorithm with multiple antennas. We have analyzed the error probabilities of both algorithms fundamentally and we derived a minimum separation angle between adjacent devices to satisfy the required reliability. The performances of the proposed ideas were presented through the computer simulations.eng
