Nowadays, the high power efficiency has become more important because many electric devices have been developed and power consumption has been increased continuously. The environmental problems such as energy resource depletion and global warming have been issued since a lot of power is supplied in worldwide. Therefore, the high power efficiency is strongly required and the more guidelines are recommended. Meanwhile, the power consumption has been more increased with the development of information technology (IT) industry. After the IT market has been grown dramatically all over the world, many data processing devices such as laptop computers have been developed and the processing data has been increased continuously. Therefore, the more server system has been required and the number of data centers has been surged accordingly. Laptop computer is one of the early models of portable computers. However, since it has outstanding performance compared with recent models like smartphones and tablet PCs, it has been widely used until now. It has been developed with high performance and wide screen to be differentiated from the other equipment. Therefore, laptop computers have become slim and adapter has been demanded to be slim and have high power rating, accordingly. Since the most serious problem with the laptop computer is operating heat, a cooling fan is equipped in the main body. When the adapter is operated with high power-level, it provides high power loss and heat and there is no cooling fan. Thus, low operating temperature is one of the most important issues of adapter application, furthermore, it can be difficult to be achieved in the slim-type converter. Therefore, the high efficiency of the slim adapter is strongly required to reduce the power loss and operating heat, especially under the heavy load condition.
