Graphene oxide (GO) with an abnormal structure was isolated in an alcoholic solvent. An abnormally low C-O/C-C ratio and large redshift of the C=O vibration indicated that the GO was a reduction intermediate of graphene oxide, which could be reduced more easily under mild conditions, even without reducing chemicals.
