dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the four port birdcage coil using multi-excitation method was implemented. For the implementation, each of the signal equally (-3dB) was split into two by Wilkinson power divider. Via the 180˚ phase delay circuit, one of the divided signals is fed into the point located at 180˚ apart from the original point. The comparison between the MR imaging results obtained by the two port birdcage coil and the four port birdcage coil in 3 Tesla MRI was given. The experimental results show that more homogeneous B1 field is generated from the four port birdcage coil.eng
