dc.description.abstractThis paper proposes an experimental method to investigate the tension/compression hardening behavior of auto-body steel sheets considering the pre-strain and the strain rate. To conduct tension/compression experiments with respect to the pre-strain and the strain rate, an experimental method was established by using a newly developed clamping device for the specimen to prevent buckling. From experiments, the tension/compression hardening behavior is observed with the variation of the pre-strain and the strain rate. The measured hardening behavior can be utilized for the reliable simulation of the sheet metal forming process and the accurate prediction of the spring-back.-
