The single sustaining driver (SSD) for AC plasma display panel (AC-PDP) can simplify and optimize the circuit part of PDP, however it suffers from twice a high voltage stress of switches compared with conventional sustaining driver (SD). To solve this problem, new SSD employing the voltage stress reduction technique (VSRT) is proposed. By adjusting the gate timing with the proposed simple structure, the voltage stresses of all devices are effectively ensured at Vs. Therefore, the proposed SSD features a low cost, reduced heating, and a simple structure.-
