A New Non-isolated ZVZCS Voltage Doubler Rectified Boost-integrated Half-Bridge(VDRBIHB) DC/DC Converter for Digital Car Audio Amplifier Power Supply

A new non-isolated ZVZCS voltage doubler rectified boost-integrated half-bridge(VDRBIHB) DC/DC converter for a digital car audio amplifier power supply is proposed in this paper. By replacing a transformer with two inductors, it shows the smaller size of magnetic components than that of the conventional VDRBIHB converter. Moreover, the improved efficiency of the proposed converter can be obtained due to the reduced conduction and core losses of the magnetic components. As a result, the proposed converter achieves 2% higher efficiency, than the conventional, over the nearly entire load ranges and the magnetic component size and cost are reduced. To confirm the validity and features of the proposed converter, experimental results of a 200 W industrial sample will be presented.
