The role of the flow restriction to pogo suppression device (PSD) in the fuel supply system of rockets was investigated. Ratio of the
gas pressure in PSD to the main tube pressure (called PSD response) was measured for three different baffle hole diameters (115, 50, 5
mm) and various gas volumes. With a small inlet restriction, the pressure wave in a PSD appears the same with that in the main tube
and showed good PSD response. On the other hand, large inlet restriction, the PSD pressure wave showed a delayed response with
smaller magnitude (bad PSD response). However, with the smaller gas volume in PSD, the pressure signal from PSD is getting closer
to that from the main tube.
