dc.description.abstractWe consider simulation of welding processes which involve typical thermometallurgical-mechanical phenomena. The welding constitutive equation by Leblond is implemented into the commercial code ABAQUS, employing UMAT and UMATHT, which are user subroutines available in ABAQUS. The main features of this coding include the consideration of the so called transformation plasticity, and the hyperelastic formulation for the stress recovery for elastic-plastic processes. Several examples demonstrates the effectiveness of the present approach.-
