dc.description.abstract | In this study, predispersed solvent extraction (PDSE) by colloidal liquid aphrons(CLAs) was investigated for the recovery of succinic acid from aqueous solution. Tertiary amine, trioctylamine (TOA), was used as extractant. TOA acts as complexing agents with the succinic acid that facilitates the distribution of succinic acid into organic phase. In this work, PDSE was done at counter-current continuous operation. Volumetric mass transfer coefficients were calculated while amine concentration varied. The recovery ratio of succinic acid at steady-state and mass transfer coefficient were calculated. | - |
