dc.description.abstractOwing to the finite beamwidths of smart antenna systems, interference exists between signals belonging to different beams in CDMA systems. A new scheme is proposed for reducing thr interference between the signals of smart antennas for variable processing gain packet CDMA systems. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme considerably improves the system performance.-
