Metal-supported solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) shows innovative advantages to solve the crucial problems of ceramic-supported SOFC such as sealing and mechanical strength. However, fabrication of metal-supported cell is a critical issue to facilitate the technology. Especially, coating and heat treatment of cathode layer is a difficult step due to oxidation and deformation of metal support during sintering of cell to obtain high electrochemical performance. In present research, electrochemical property of several Cr-containing cathode materials is investigated to apply to metal-supported SOFC. Cr-containing cathodes are sintered in reducing atmosphere to minimize oxidation and deformation of metal support.
