Average sampling is motivated by realistic needs, e.g., physical limitation of acquisition devices or characteristics of sampling procedure. As an extension of the average sampling, we study generalized average sampling in shift invariant spaces with frame generators, in which averages are taken from suitable channeled version of signals. Illustrative examples are given. (C) 2010 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
