An approximate rate constant for the intermolecular addition of a primary alkyl radical onto bismethanesulfonyl oxime ether 2 has been measured to be k(a) = 1.7.10(6) M(-1)s(-1) at 80 degreesC, which is in reasonably good agreement with the data obtained from competition experiments.
