dc.description.abstractPDMS(Polydimethylsiloxane)/ceramic composite membrane was used in pervaporation process in order to enhance the flux with maintaining proper selectivity. In pervaporation of trace phenol from aqueous phenol solution, selectivities of phenol decreased and fluxes increased with concentration of phenol in feed mixtures. And selectivities of phenol increased with operating temperature. This phenomenon could be explained by coupling of each components, plasicization of PDMS membrane, and capillary condensation of water in ceramic pores.-
