In this research, we examined the role of information technologies in enhancing the organizational effectiveness of (ORICOM Advertising Strategic Information Systems)project was initiated to meet the ORICOMs 21 century managerial requirements which involves the virtual linking of the supply demend chain, cooperative work support, and location transparency of dispersed information reasources. To meet these requirements, emerging technologies such as multimedia database, groupware, and intranet platforms have been adopted. We assess the expected impact of OASIS on ORICOMs effectiveness and discuss the difficulties of implementing emerging technologies within an organization.
