An optical multistable device with good tuning capability is experimentally realized by using a semicoductor light-emiting device, a photodiode, and transistors with positive optorlrctronic feedback, in this device, the number of stable ststed is determined by the number of transistor pairs. A gralhical solution method, as well as a stability analysis of solutions, is presented to explain the operational principle of this device.en
