PERFORMANCE-CHARACTERISTICS OF CSMA/CD FOR FIBER OPTIC NETWORKS
Analytical formulas for performance evaluation of CSMA/CD for fibre optic networks with a finite number of buffered users are presented. The effects of collision detection errors on performance characteristics are investigated and the issue of stabilisation is addressed.
