Syria mobile WiMAX plan

Abstract

Poor Syrian Infrastructure for the internet access caused low data penetration rate, and Syria ranks only 13 among Arab countries in terms of its use of ICT. According to the current Syrian national strategy for the use of ICT in economic and social development; Syrian government by MOCT (Ministry of Communications and Technology) beside the private sector need to develop and improve the ICT infrastructure. This work introduced one step toward the solution for the week internet access in Syria by the planning of Mobile WiMAX network as broadband access model; this network planning includes the technical and the business studying for the new service provider.
