dc.description.abstract | This study has attempted to provide an interdisciplinary research for efficient management of hospital infection control. Hospital infection control has been highly demanded because of its importance for both hospital workers and patients`` safety. The suggested system operates on wireless sensor network that enables context-awareness and ubiquitous service. This system is expected to provide not only new values that are helpful to overcome the limitations of the current hospital infection control methods but also market opportunities for the wireless sensor network to be diffused over organizations. In order to develop an appropriate system, this paper has reviewed several literatures and also conducted a couple of field interviews to find out the real business problems and users`` requirements. The system consists of three sub systems. Each was proposed with it own scenario that is based on several literatures and outcomes of experts`` interviews. This study suggested specific and unique values of the system by looking into the three sub systems`` processes. After the designing the system, the usefulness of the value and feasibility of the system were verified by five industry professionals. In conclusion, the system is expected to contribute to solve the current problems in HIC management. The capability of information traceability and real-time monitoring is representative values for efficient management of Hospital Infection Control. | eng |
