This thesis descirbes not only the implementation of the radar simulator built-in the function of radar data processor but also adaptive α-β tracking algorithm utilizing correlated gate size. The radar simulator is performed on SUN workstation operated on X-window program.
The radar simulator provides many kinds of function such as range scales, off-centre display, magnification of a selected area, map edit and so on. Also, the display of radar simulator provides Graphic User Interface including alphanumeric characters and symbols for operator.
The operator can communicate with the computer in an interactive manner by means of a keyboard, mouse.
In this paper, we propose an adaptive α-β tracking algorithm which uses correlated gate size representing the degree of target``s maneuver. When a paring is not made during association, the association is continued with increasing in gate size till a paring is made. Thus, from correlated gate size, it is possible to find out not only the degree of target``s maneuver, but also the optimal α-β gain.
