Hidden pilot schemes for MIMO-OFDM system = 다중 입출력 직교 주파수 분할 다중화 시스템을 위한 은닉 학습 신호 기법

MIMO-OFDM system usually use pilot sequences for identifying the channel. However, the pilot signals occupy transmission bandwidth which would otherwise be available for transmission of the signal. In this thesis, we propose a hidden pilot schemes to apply for MIMO-OFDM systems, so called as affine precoded MIMO-OFDM (AP-MIMO-OFDM). We showed 4 performance criteria in the view point of channel estimation, frequency diversity and PAPR to design affine precoder for MIMO-OFDM. Based on 4 design criteria, we will explaine that designing of affine precoder can be done by using polyphase sequence. Through simulations, we investigated the characteristics of affine precoded MIMO-OFDM scheme and showed its improved performance over conventional MIMO-OFDM in channel estimation, signal detection, bandwidth efficiency and PAPR characteristics.
