In this paper, we consider an application of the square-law detector with sequential linear test (SLT) and truncated SLT (TSLT) for PN code acquisition in multipath fading channels. To be easier to implement, we apply the SLT scheme to code acquisition system. We consider the effect of some truncations in the proposed scheme and investigate the performance of system without fading and with Rayleigh fading in the proposed scheme. From our simulation, we can know that truncation reduce the mean acquisition time and the performance of system become worse by fading. And we compare the performance of the proposed scheme with that of the PN code acquisition schemes using the sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) and truncated SPRT (TSPRT).
In the comparisons, we use the probability of detection and the mean acquisition time as the performance measure.
