Facile synthesis of various organophosphonates

Abstract

A convenient synthesis of $\beta$ -keto phosphonates has been studied. Trialkyl 2-phosphonoalkylates were synthesized by direct couping of trialkyl phosphite and $\alpha$ -halo acid in the absence of organic solvent. Diethyl Nphenylphosphonoalkylamides were synthesized by one-pot procedure based on Arbuzov reaction of N-phenyl-2-haloalkylamides and triethyl phosphite. Nphenyl-2-haloalkylamides were prepared by the reaction of $\alpha$ -halo acid with phenylisocyanate in quantitative yields.
