This paper discusses the detecting method of small drone by using linear chirp pulse radar system and system design. In this paper, linear frequency modulated (LFM) chirp pulse radar system for long-distance detection was used to improve distance resolution, and bistatic pulse was adopted to increase RX sensitivity. By reducing the leakage signal through IF stage switching for low cost and simplicity of the system, the noise floor was lowered and detection performance was improved through this method. In order to increase the detection ability in a multi-clutter environment, the SNR enhancement method using micro-Doppler signature (MDS) extraction and singular value decomposition (SVD) was proposed, and its validity was verified through experiments.
