The discovery of the chirality transfer from small chiral molecules to plasmonic nanostructure has induced the application of the chiral optical properties. In this study, the chiral gold nanorods synthesis was demonstrated by an additional growth steps of gold nanorods with chiral molecules. This chiral gold nanorod exhibits broad chiral optical activity from UV to NIR region. The origin of circular dichroism in UV region is gold-cysteine cluster and Vis-NIR region chiral optical activity was caused from the chiral plasmonic structures. Chiral gold nanorods exhibit a temperature difference of about 2 ℃ according to the circularly polarized light. In addition, the drug complex was constructed with chiral gold nanorods, drug, and PLGA polymer complex and suggests the concept of bio-application from chirality characteristics of chiral plasmonic structures.
