By development on mobile devices like smartphone, the population that can access online has been increased, making more convenient for users to store data online than local storage device. Therefore companies like Google and Amazon are expanding and additionally building data centers to satisfy the increased online storage needs. The impact of online data usage on environment is not intuitive for the general public in comparison with environmental activities like recycling. In this study, we have analyzed the public's perception on email data and its impact on the environment and designed an experiment that analyze the effect of intervention and providing information on email usage behavior.
