Position Prediction of Wireless Charging Electric Vehicle for Auto Parking Using Extreme Gradient Boost Algorithm

Wireless charging (WLC) systems towards electric vehicle (EV) growing popularity due to the EV rely on limited capacity batteries to drive and to power despite of large volume and inconvenience of charging methods. However, the misalignment of WLC EV can reduce the power transfer efficiency. To overcome the misalignment problem, the auto parking with precise position determination is needed. In this paper, we propose a EV position prediction method using sensor coils and extreme gradient boost algorithm. The proposed method shows the good performance compared with conventional position determination methods.
