Low molecular weight endo-glucanase was purified from cellulase complex with sephadex G-100 gel chromatography. Biochemical properties of the purified compoment was investigated. Optimum pH and temperature was 6.0 and 50 ℃, respectively. Activation energy for CMC was 10.8 Kcal/mole. Kinetic study was performed Km and Vmax for CMC was 0.39% CMC and 0.57 mM/min. Hydrolysis of four cellulosic substance having various crystallinity with cellulase complex was observed. It was found that amorphous region hydrolysis was followed by crystalline region hydrolysis. Various cellulosic substance having different crystallinity was employed for adsorption studies.
