dc.description.abstract | Pool scrubbing is a phenomenon in which gas containing aerosols is injected into a pool and the aerosols are trapped while bubbles rise in the pool. Currently, NPPs use facilities such as CFVS, which is an aerosol removal system using pool scrubbing phenomenon in order to reduce the release of radioactive materials when severe accidents occur. In addition, pool scrubbing can occur when radioactive aerosols in a containment pass through an aqueous bed. Assessment of the radioactive aerosol removal through pool scrubbing is very important in evaluating the source term analysis, so reliable pool scrubbing evaluation is required. Radioactive aerosols generated during severe accidents can be removed in a pool by a variety of mechanisms. The pool temperature is an important factor affecting the condensation and bubble size of steam-containing bubbles among these aerosol removal mechanisms. Therefore, this study performed a predictive evaluation of pool temperature on aerosol removal. | - |
