In this dissertation, the wireless communication interface of sliding door application has been dealt with. Automatic sliding door systems have been introduced to a variety of car models due to their convenience. However, flat cable for control signal exchange is pointed out to be the source of trouble, not only for its difficulties in predicting the movement, but also for the worn-out problem. Communication interface circuit designs of sliding door application to substitute the conventional flat cable, which is easy to implement on a commercialized car, has been proposed in this chapter. There is another problem of mobile device chargers inside vehicle. Conventional mobile device charger inside vehicle is the wire charger connected to cigar-jack, which is inconvenient to plug in and which can hinder the driver's operation. Qi-standard based wireless charging pads are mounted on vehicles these days, but inconvenient to use because of the limited charging area. Many methods have been proposed to solve this problem, but none of those are applicable to the wireless mobile charging around the driver. The wireless mobile device charger system around the driver's seat, using dipole coil structure whose superiority on long-range wireless charging is well known, is proposed in this chapter. Chapter 1 proposes wireless communication interface for sliding door application. The method which can simply substitute the previous control signal exchange through flat cable, is proposed. The wireless communication interface is designed to exchange control signal properly, while deluding the ECU not to detect the disconnection. Zigbees are used for wireless communication, and MCU modules are used to process the signals. The proposed method is verified by experiment. In the experiment, 13 of control signals are exchanged between sliding door and vehicle and sliding door operated successfully, so the possibility of proposed system has been verified. Chapter 2 proposes wireless mobile device charger inside vehicle. The proposed system has 2 of power transmitter coils to charge mobile phone while satisfying the ICNIRP guideline. For the compactness and higher output power, "I" shaped dipole coil structure is used in receiver side. The proposed system is verified by experiment and prototype is designed. In the experiment, designed prototype received 2.1W with 23% efficiency. The idea proposed is to charge the mobile device continuously with low power wirelessly, based on the concept of "charge-less" mobile device. The possibility of the concept has been verified in this chapter-
