Highly efficient CMOS linear power amplifiers (PA) for wireless communications are presented. To improve the AM-PM distortion, the body control network (BCN) is proposed which injects the envelope signal into the body of the common-gate (CG) amplifier. In ad-dition, The proposed BCN is implemented with the proposed power mode scheme, which utilizes the linearization techniques, and gain control scheme in order to reduce the current consumptions. To enhance the linearity and efficiency of a CMOS PA simultaneously, the cascode-cascade configuration (CCC) is proposed. The proposed CCC improves the PA’s overall performances in terms of AM-to-AM, AM-to-PM, IMD3, EVM, ACLR, and PAE. To improve the linearity and efficiency of a combining CMOS PA, the adaptive auxiliary amplifier control (AAAC) is proposed which improves the AM-PM distortions by reducing variations of admittance and efficiency of a PA by using adaptive control circuit. Furthermore, the small-size current-reused RF-DAC is proposed. To improve the linearity of the RF-DAC, we proposed the complementary current control scheme and quadrature LO chain with RC ladder and inverter chain. In addition, the adaptive body injected mixer is proposed to reduce the power consumption of LO signal.
