본 발명은 메탄을 메탄올로 직접 전환시키기 위한 귀금속 담지 촉매, 그제조방법 및 이를 이용한 메탄올의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 금속 또는 준금속의 산화물을 포함하는 지지체; 및 상기 금속 또는 준금속의 산화물의 결정 격자의 표면에서의 금속 또는 준금속 원소의 자리 및 산소의 자리 중의 적어도 하나의 자리에 치환되어 존재하고 있는 적어도 하나의 귀금속 원자를 포함함으로써 메탄을 메탄올로 직접 전환이 가능하고, 재사용성 및 메탄올에 대한 선택도가 우수한 귀금속 담지 촉매를 제공한다.
