dc.description.abstractAll-optical wavelength conversion using the TE mode injection locking and TM-mode absorption null of a Fabry-Perot laser diode is proposed. By varying pump power, the change of probe power over 20 dB is obtained. Bit error rate measurements at 2.5 Gbps were performed and power penalties of 2 dB and 6 dB was observed, respectively, for noninverting and inverting wavelength conversion.en
