A saturated region appears in an environment when changing illumination and lighting conditions suddenly. In this paper, we propose an image pre-processing method using an entropy-based metric of an image according to the change of indoor and outdoor illumination conditions. In this method, we show that two images of the same scene having different exposure values can be used to detect an over-exposed region through entropy information and restore a saturated region. The results show that our fused image is simple and practical. © ICROS 2017.
