Abstract

The present invention relates to a system and method for managing service quality in a portable internet, and more specifically to a system and method for managing service quality of applications provided to a portable subscriber station. To this end, the present invention provides a system for managing service quality of applications provided to a portable subscriber station, the system comprising: a portable subscriber station selecting desired data traffic attribute information and maximum pseudo bandwidth information according to the applications and transmitting the selected data traffic attribute information and maximum pseudo bandwidth information to a radio access station; and a radio access station allocating the bandwidth of the applications provided to the portable subscriber station using the data traffic attribute information and maximum pseudo bandwidth information transmitted from the portable subscriber station.
