Thermal and air-stable uniform Cu2O nanocubes were employed in the development of a gram-scale, one-pot polyol synthesis. Herein is reported an efficient cross-coupling reaction of aryl halides and phenols with a catalytic amount (0.1 mol-%) of Cu2O nanocubes as recyclable catalyst and Cs2CO3 as the base in THF at 150 degrees C.
