Queueing networks have been used to model many applications such as assembly lines and semiconductor manufacturing. One important thing to obtain from queueing networks is the performance of queueing netwoks. Generally, there are several ways to determine the performance of queueing networks. Some of the measurements of the performance of queueing networks are throughput, average cost and average number of customers in the system. Another measurement for the performance of queueing networks is the second moment of average number of customers in the system. The second moment of average number of customers in the system is one of the elements that relates to variation of average number of customers. Therefore, it is important to obtain the second moment of average number of customers in the system. In this paper, we introduced two approaches to obtain the second moment of average number of customers in the system.
